Starter Club ("the app") is a sourdough community app operated by Starter Club ("we", "us", "our"). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the app you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

We only collect what we need to run the app and let you take part in your community:

• Account information — your email address, which you use to sign in, and the name and optional profile details you choose.
• Content you create — the communities you join, the posts and photos of your bakes, comments, likes, recipes, and Starter Hotel listings and requests you add to the app.
• Technical information — limited data needed to operate and secure the service, such as basic log information.

We do not collect your device's precise location, and we do not use your data for advertising.

How we use your information

• To provide the app and keep your communities in sync across devices.
• To sign you in and keep your account secure.
• To show the content you add to the members of the communities you belong to, and — for bakes you mark as public — in the Discover feed.
• To respond to you when you contact us for support.

How your information is shared

• With members of your communities — content you add to a private club is visible to that club's approved members. Bakes you choose to make public appear in the Discover feed to other members. This is a core feature of the app.
• With service providers — we use Supabase to host our database, authentication and file storage. These providers process data on our behalf so the app can function.
• For legal reasons — if required to by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

We do not sell your personal information.

How your information is stored and protected

Your information is stored with our hosting provider and is encrypted in transit. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect it, though no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Keeping and deleting your information

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can ask us to delete your account and the information associated with it at any time by emailing hi@starterclubapp.co, and we will action your request.

Children

Starter Club is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will remove it.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us at hi@starterclubapp.co.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date above.
